Tags: Wireframing, information architecture, content analysis and mapping, segmentated user journeys
Objective: streamline and prioritize key user content while creating a new design for Miljøministeriets sites (www.mim.dk, www.mst.dk og www.kyst.dk)
New information architecture
Content mapping: making a site map over the current pages and levels of the website
Content analysis: analysing data on what information users seek
Segmtented user journeys on Miljøstyrelsens website: creating two user entrances. One for private users and communes with differing content relevant to each user group (www.mst.dk/erhverv and www.mst.dk/borger)
Developing wireframes
Forming low-fidelity wireframes and deciding most important components and hierarchy. Thereafter increasing the fidelity level of the wireframes (both for desktop, tablet, and phone)
Creating new functions, such as updated search function for news and jobs, and the feature of subscribing to news.
The developed wireframes can be seen below. Later the wireframes were further developed by a UI designer, who refined the aesthetics and visual identity of the websites (which is the version that can be found on the live websites).
